“I purchased a C Golden Gate - 7 note. This instrument is beautiful. It sounds great and I feel sure that any struggles I may have with learning to play will be with learning to play, and not with the quality of the handpan. That was important to me.

I ventured on a short journey with a cheap handpan I could return in 30 days for any reason. That got me in the door of just holding one and seeing if it was something I really wanted. It was. But I didn't like the sound of that one...

Her care makes her product very unique from the choice of metal to the hand hammering of her shells to the careful tuning of the instrument. It was important for me to know that she did not work from pre-fab shells from other countries. The shells are her own recipe which gives its own unique sound. It is truly a beautiful instrument with a nice crisp sound. Shipping to Canada and passing through Customs was really fast! “After trying out the full size Isthmus handpan, I recently switched to the small size one, and I am very happy with it. Being a smaller woman, I was having trouble reaching all of the notes easily on the full size handpan. On this smaller one, I am so much more comfortable and have no issues trying to hit every note without trying to lean over uncomfortably. I usually play my smaller handpan on a snare drum stand, but it's also small enough to play comfortably on my lap. I also find it easier to play two notes together with one hand.
